Hello, I'm Madeleine (she/they). I'm Viet and a Leo (10/08). I'm a student coming from a mundane town in the North, fluent in both Vietnamese and English. This website is small and it’s just a simple corner on the Internet for me to write some micellanous blogs and upload some pictures.

I have just recently started doing website for only 2 months so yep, I have a lot to learn. I have a huge interest in 2000s stuffs like clothes (flare jeans are so iconicc), makeover, prom in 2006 and leopard print (ofc not real leopards), 19s painting, anything in mini replica. Eventhough I was just an infant in 2000s but those things give me a huge nostalgic feeling.

Like:

any thing in miniatures, taking pictures of random stuffs, coding, WINTERRR, having a friend who shares the same thoughts, hobbies and sense of humour (I really really need sb who cares about chick flick movies, politics and the 2000s aethestic), writing blogs, doing night walk and gossiping, travelling

Dislike:

people who talk meaningless things, zionists, idols and famous people dramas ( they're sooo boring and negative ), red pill ideology, hot weather, feeling cringe

MOVIES

L’Odeur de la papaye verte - 1993 by Tran Anh Hung

the scent of green papaya

Omg first of all about the vibe of this movie it's soo tranquil and dreamy and vintage. The scent of Green Papaya has a really simple plot and not very clear if you only watch it one time, mostly symbolize the tranquility and beauty of Vietnamese nature and feminine soul.

Pearl - 2022 by Ti West

pearl

This horror movie makes me feel so terrified. No ghosts but Pearl scares me of how selfish she is. She never feels satisfied by what she has, I mean she is miserable too as she wanted to become a singer so bad but her family is the biggest obstacle.

"Where does all this ungratefulness stem from? How is it that you find our lives so beneath you? You always had a roof over your head, food in your belly. Do you not think that it came at great sacrifice for your father and I? Or do you think we are beneath you too?"

pearl

This movie has really detailed the decay of a person's dignity when immersed in self-pity and jealousy, but it takes a toll on my soul ( I don't really like those scenes when Pearl kills her cousin by a rake)

12 Angry Men - 1957 by Sidney Lumet

12 angry man

This movie doesn't have flashy setting but it shows us a lot of mesages. 12 jurors are named after number 1 to 12. The room symbolizes a small society. The plot is about 12 Men vote to convict a boy guilty or not guilty. Throughout the film, Juror 8 calmly questions the reliability of the witnesses, the evidence, and the other jurors’ personal biases. One by one, the jurors change their minds as they begin to see that there is reasonable doubt. At the end of the movie all twelve jurors vote “not guilty,” realizing that justice requires careful thought, fairness, and empathy.
